Onnokawa Groove 4tet

Our band name "Onnokawa" is a construct, composed of the Japanese syllables "on=sound" and "kawa=river", intended to mean "river of sound". We are playing modern Jazz, but our focus is on a new kind of free, yet grooving and integrated music. We just start playing, without any prior arrangements, listen to each other, react - and see what happens. Collectively improvised patterns evolve spontaneously, like the flow of a river, with many unexpected turns, but - ideally - without ever loosing cohesion and beauty.
